The basis is the declaration of conformity. Each article in the table has its own food safety declaration of conformity in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and a technical data sheet. The overview summarises them; in case of doubt, the document applies. We are happy to send it to you: compliance@nordwerk.de.

What does “6 dm² per kg” mean? For many bags, the approval applies up to this ratio of bag surface area to filling quantity. A small bag with little contents may exceed this – simply get in touch with us.

“Heating” means here: hot filling or brief warming, up to 70 °C for two hours or up to 100 °C for 15 minutes. The individually printed stand-up pouches also withstand hot filling and sterilisation at 121 °C. None of the declarations cover microwaves, ovens or boiling in the bag.

Your filling product is decisive. The packer ultimately checks whether the packaging is suitable for your specific product. Therefore, test in advance with free samples.
