Accessibility Statement

NORDWERK Verpackungen GmbH & Co.KG operates an online shop for packaging materials on this website. We design the shop according to the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the Ordinance on Accessibility Requirements for Products and Services (BFSGV). This statement contains the information pursuant to Section 14 BFSG in conjunction with Annex 3 BFSG.

Section 1 Scope

This statement applies to the entire online shop on this website: home page, category and product pages, search, size calculators, shopping cart, ordering process, customer account, sample and quotation requests, as well as the English language version.

Section 2 Our Service

We sell packaging materials from our own warehouse, such as bags, films, cardboard boxes, mailing bags, and accessories. You can search for items, filter by characteristics, select size, style, and quantity, and order online. Upon request, we can print your logo on many items. We also offer free samples and customized quotes upon request.

Section 3 How Ordering Works

1. Finding items: via the main menu, the search function, or the size calculators (Box Finder, Bag Finder).
2. On the product page, select the variant and quantity, then add the item to your cart. Using the “Price Display” option at the top of the header (on mobile devices, directly below the header), you can choose between “incl. VAT” and “excl. VAT” to display prices with or without value-added tax.
3. Check your selection in the shopping cart and proceed to checkout.
4. Enter your billing and delivery address, and choose your shipping method and payment method. You can pay by invoice, PayPal, Amazon Pay, credit card (Visa, Mastercard), or advance payment.
5. Check the details in the overview and complete your order by clicking the order button. You will then receive an order confirmation by email.

For printed items, send us your print data during the ordering process or by email. Our graphics department will check the data, you approve the print, and production will then begin. You can cancel a contract via the "Cancel contract" button in the customer service area of the website.

Section 4 How Our Shop Meets the Requirements

The benchmark is the requirements of the BFSGV. Technically, we adhere to the harmonized standard EN 301 549, the requirements of which for websites correspond to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 conformity level AA. To achieve this, we implement the following measures, among others:

• Perceivable: Informative images have text alternatives. Texts have sufficient colour contrast. Content can be enlarged up to 200 percent and adapts to screens starting from 320 pixels wide without requiring horizontal scrolling.
• Operable: All functions can be accessed via keyboard. Keyboard focus is visibly highlighted. Animation effects are disabled if "Reduce motion" is set in your operating system.
• Understandable: The page language is technically specified. Navigation and layout are consistent across all pages. Form fields are labelled.
• Robust: Headings, lists, and page sections are correctly marked up in the code so that screen readers and other assistive technologies can evaluate the content.

Section 5 Status of Compliance

Our online shop complies with the accessibility requirements of the BFSGV. Excluded are integrated third-party services over whose design we have only limited influence: the cookie banner (CCM19), the payment windows of PayPal and Amazon Pay, and the input fields for card payments (Stripe). If you encounter a barrier, please contact us (Section 7). We will then help you through alternative means.

Section 6 Preparation of This Statement

This statement is based on a self-assessment in accordance with EN 301 549 and WCAG 2.1 AA. Testing was carried out using automated testing tools as well as manually: keyboard operation, colour contrast measurement, display at 320 pixels width, and with increased text spacing.

§ 8 Conciliation proceedings
