Transparent tubular film made of LDPE – mono-material, recyclable
Our tubular film made of transparent LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene, virgin material) on a roll is suitable for direct food contact. This film is specifically designed to be processed both manually and automatically. With its transparency, flexibility and good processability, it is suitable for a wide range of applications in retail, logistics and industry.
The film is blown from LDPE, single-layer and without a longitudinal seam; the haze at 50 µm is 6%. It is weldable / heat-sealable (not shrinkable!), making it easy to produce or seal bags or sacks.

Technical information and differences in film thicknesses
Choosing the right film thickness is crucial for function, protection and application area. Here is a brief overview to help you decide:
- 25 µm – light version: for lightweight packed goods such as fruit and vegetables, smaller snacks or bags with low stress.
- 50 µm – standard thickness: frequently used in retail for packaging loose goods or for automated packaging.
- 100 µm – reinforced variant: for medium-weight products such as frozen food, spices or logistic outer packaging.
- 200 µm – heavy industrial quality: for demanding applications, large bundles or long-term storage.
Thinner films are more flexible and economical, while thicker films offer greater robustness, better protection and a longer service life.
Application areas and typical use cases
- Retail: Packaging of food, bread bags, fruit bags or small bundles; bag packaging for snacks and promotions.
- Logistics: Outer packaging or protective film during transport, storage of individual parts, mailing sleeves with a view of the contents.
- Industry: Protection of components, machinery or spare parts; suitable for automatic packaging lines; not shrinkable, but sealable.
- Your own bag production: Easily and flexibly produce professional protective packaging for your products yourself using our transparent LDPE tubular film. Each bag can be adapted in length to suit the item being packed. This makes it the ideal protective packaging for changing length requirements for individual parts or varying quantities of small parts.
Handling is very simple. Using a standard impulse heat sealer, you can process the PE tubular film from the roll into flat bags: seal one end, insert your products, seal the other end and cut it off. Your protective packaging is ready. If you do not have a heat sealer to hand, you can of course also leave the ends open or close them with packing tape.
Processing
- Sealable / weldable – suitable for bag, sack or tubing processing.
- Not shrinkable – no use for shrinking processes. Please use our fine shrink film or our shrink hoods for this purpose.
- Manual or automatic processing thanks to consistent material quality.
- Suitable for direct food contact (Regulation (EU) No 10/2011).
- In various widths, 60 to 1,000 linear metres per roll depending on thickness.
