Our stand-up pouches feature natural brown kraft paper on the outside and a multi-layer barrier (aluminium + CPP) on the inside for high aroma protection. They have an aroma protection valve for outgassing products (e.g. coffee) and are available in three sizes ranging from 140 × 80 × 270 mm to 210 × 110 × 370 mm.

Technical features & protective functions

Aroma protection valve: Integrated one-way valve (also known as a “pressure relief valve”) allows gases from outgassing products (e.g. freshly roasted coffee) to escape without letting oxygen or foreign odours back in. This prevents swelling or bursting and minimises loss of aroma.
High barrier: The aluminium layer (7 µm) and the CPP inner layer (60 µm) keep out oxygen, moisture and light.
Food contact: The food-contact CPP inner layer complies with Regulation (EU) No 10/2011; suitable for dry foods, especially roast coffee.
Stand-up pouch shape & pack sizes: The gusseted bottom allows the filled pouch to stand upright; available in three sizes.
Natural brown kraft paper look: No window, resulting in a solid appearance with plenty of space for customisation and labelling. The brown surface is easy to label or write on.

Potential applications & product types

Our pouches are suitable for products where aroma and freshness play a major role. Typical applications include:

Coffee & coffee beans: Beans release gases (e.g. carbon dioxide) immediately after roasting. The valve prevents pressure build-up and preserves the aroma for a long time – from the roaster and retailers through to the end consumer.
Tea & herbs: Fragrant tea blends, loose herbs or dried spices benefit from the barrier against moisture and light, keeping them aromatic for longer.
Bakery products & biscuits: Such as biscuits and pastries that are sensitive to moisture and oxygen – the pouch protects their crisp texture.
Nuts, oilseeds & powder products: For oil-containing dry goods, the barrier film helps to slow down oxidation and prevent odour transfer.
Non-food and special applications: Also suitable for aromatherapy products, fragrances, gift tea bag sets, pet food with intense aromas, etc.

Handling: The valve prevents bloated pouches, and the grip seal can be reclosed after initial opening. The pouch can be sealed with any standard impulse heat sealer to provide the end consumer with a tamper-evident first-opening experience.
