It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas: cross-bottom bags made of highly transparent OPP – featuring a "Frohe Weihnachten – Merry Christmas" print!
Our cross-bottom bags are made of 30 µm thick, transparent BOPP film and are primarily used for food and delicatessen items. The film allows 92.1% of light to pass through and does not absorb water. They are filled by hand or machine in production, retail and manufacturing operations.
Just in time for Christmas with printed "Frohe Weihnachten" in various languages. The lettering is printed in two colours. Ideal for Christmas markets, retail shops or mail order.
Material properties
The bags are made of virgin BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene, plastic code 05):
- Printed with a two-colour "Frohe Weihnachten" print in multiple languages. The contents remain visible through the clear areas.
- Highly transparent and smooth: 92.1% light transmission, 2.1% haze
- Suitable for direct food contact, tasteless and odourless
- Tear-resistant (tensile strength 136 MPa lengthwise, 223 MPa crosswise) and moisture-resistant
- Weldable and therefore aroma-tight sealable
- Recyclable: Mono-material PP (BOPP)
Areas of application
The cross-bottom with side gussets unfolds when filled, allowing the filled bag to stand upright. It is sealed with a heat seal (aroma-tight using a jaw sealer), clip, closure strip or label. The clear film ensures a high-quality presentation of the products and visibly highlights their quality.
Typical applications include delicatessen products, pastries, pralines, chocolate, nuts, dried fruit, tea, coffee, spices as well as decorative items and other non-food products.
Recycling & disposal
Our cross-bottom bags are made of BOPP as a mono-material and are recyclable. Unlike laminate films, they do not contain adhesives, bonding agents or material layers that would need to be separated.
Disposal by the end consumer takes place via the yellow sack or yellow bin.
