Cellophane side gusset bags with a Christmas design: film made from renewable raw materials (98% bio-based carbon, ASTM D6866), certified home compostable (OK compost HOME)
Our side gusset bags are made of 23 µm thick, uncoated cellophane film and ensure a high-quality presentation of your products. The film is highly transparent and glossy. When filled, the bags stand upright on their block bottom. They are suitable for dry, non-greasy foods and non-food products.
This version is printed with golden stars to match the festive season. The contents remain visible through the clear areas.
Material: cellophane film made from wood pulp
Cellophane is a film made from regenerated cellulose. The main raw material is cellulose derived from wood pulp; the bio-based carbon content is 98% (ASTM D6866). Properties:
- Film certified compostable – industrially (EN 13432) and home compostable (OK compost HOME); disposal in Germany in your own garden compost or via residual waste, not via the organic waste bin
- Bio-based – 98% bio-based carbon content (ASTM D6866)
- Highly transparent and glossy
- Food-safe for dry, non-greasy foods; neutral in odour
- Antistatic and breathable
The cellophane film has an appearance that is virtually indistinguishable from conventional plastic films.
Shape and application
What the block bottom offers:
- Firm standing stability thanks to the overlapping glued bottom
- Easy filling – manually or by machine
- Can be closed with clips, labels or closing strips – not heat-sealable
- For presentation packaging on shelves or at the counter
The clear, glossy cellulose film ensures the colour and shape of the packaged products are clearly visible.

Cellulose cross bottom bags are an alternative to plastic bags: the film is made from regenerated cellulose and is certified home and industrially compostable. They are water vapour permeable and therefore do not offer moisture protection, but retain gases and aromas well.
