Shrink wrap on a roll. Bags in any length.
Cut, seal, done: With LDPE tubular film, you can make exactly the bags your products need from a single roll. 25 to 200 µm, 30 to 1,000 mm wide, transparent, black, or made with recycled material.
What is tubular film, and how is it turned into a bag?
Tubular film is a tube-shaped film without a longitudinal seam, rolled up flat. The sides are already sealed. All you have to do is cut it to the desired length and seal the ends.
- 1
Select a role
The width depends on your goods; the thickness depends on weight and wear and tear.
- 2
Cutting to Length
Unroll as much as the product requires. No need to stock bags in various sizes.
- 3
Welding the floor
Seal one end with a standard bar welder, and the bag is ready.
- 4
Fill and seal
Place the item inside and seal the other end, or alternatively, close it with tape.
What roll width is right for your product?
Enter the dimensions of your product. The calculator will show you the appropriate roll width, all rolls available in that width, and the estimated number of bags that can be made from one roll.
Your matching role will appear here after you enter the information inthe form on the leftat the top.

What film thickness do I need?
Thinner films are more flexible and cost-effective, while thicker ones are more robust and durable. The illustration shows the thicknesses in their correct proportions relative to one another.
25 µm: the lightweight version
For lightweight packaged goods
Fruit and vegetables, small snacks, or lightweight bags. Up to 1,000 meters per roll, so each roll contains a particularly large number of bags.
50 µm: the standard thickness
For bulk goods and vending machines
Commonly used in retail for packaging loose goods or for vending machine packaging. Rolls of 500 meters up to 400 mm wide; wider rolls are available in 250- or 200-meter lengths. Also available with 50% post-consumer recycled content.
100 µm: the reinforced version
For medium-weight goods
Frozen foods, spices, or logistics packaging. 250 meters per roll; 125 or 100 meters for widths of 500 mm or more. Also available in black and opaque or made from 100% recycled granulate.
200 µm: heavy-duty industrial grade
For large containers and long-term storage
Demanding applications and heavy parts. 250 to 60 meters per roll, depending on the width.
Four series for different tasks

Frequently Asked Questions About Tubular Film
What is tubular film?
Tubular film is a film in the shape of a tube, wound flat onto a roll. The long sides are sealed, with no seam. It is used to make bags of any length by cutting it to size and sealing the ends.
What width of tubular film do I need?
As a rule of thumb: the second-longest side plus the shortest side of the item, plus a little extra space. An item measuring 300 × 200 × 50 mm would therefore require about 270 mm; the next suitable roll width is 300 mm. The roll calculator on this page will do the math for you.
Does the width refer to the hose when it is lying flat?
Yes. All widths apply to the tube when it is lying flat. The circumference is therefore twice the specified width.
How many bags can be made from one roll?
That depends on the bag length: A roll of 500 meters, with a bag length of 400 mm, theoretically yields 1,250 bags, with no waste.
What can I use to seal stretch film?
Using a standard beam sealer. Alternatively, the ends can be sealed with adhesive tape. Our tubular film is sealable but not shrinkable.
Is tubular film suitable for food?
Our transparent LDPE tubular film is approved for dry, aqueous, acidic, alcoholic, and fatty foods, including infant and toddler foods, when stored at room temperature or below and up to 6 dm² per kg. The black film and the series containing recycled material do not have food-contact approval. Microwave, oven, and cooking uses are not covered.
How do you dispose of LDPE tubular film?
Place it in the yellow bag or yellow bin. The film is made of a single material—LDPE (04)—and is recyclable.
Is there tubular film made with recycled material?
Yes, two product lines: 50 µm with 50% post-consumer recycled material, GRS-certified, and 100 µm made from 100% regranulate from production scraps.
What is the difference between tubular film and shrink film?
Tubular film is cut to length and heat-sealed; it then loosely wraps around the product. Shrink film tightens around the product when heated. For this purpose, we carry our own line of fine-shrink film.
