* Applies to unprinted KRAFTMAILER bags that you use unchanged as mailing packaging. An address or shipping label does not change this. If you have the bags printed with your logo, the obligations for the printed bags are transferred to you. Details can be found in the declaration of conformity for the respective item.
Internal gussets instead of block bottom
Many paper mailing bags have a block bottom. This is thick, and thick bottoms catch in stacks and jam during transport. KRAFTMAILER bags have an internal side and bottom gusset. They lie flat and glide smoothly.
Block bottom catches
The thick bottoms lie on top of each other, making the stack uneven. When pulled out, the top bag catches and drags the next one along.
KRAFTMAILER® glides
The gussets are on the inside, keeping every bag equally flat. The stack stays straight, and the bag can be pulled out in one motion. Nothing jams in the box.
Schematic diagram
Flat when empty, spacious when full
When empty, the bag lies flat with the gussets tucked inside. When filled, the side and bottom gussets open up to create space for books, cosmetics, or boxes. Move the slider.
KRAFTMAILER or imported goods?
Brown paper looks the same everywhere. The difference lies in the construction, certifications, and compliance.

KRAFTMAILER or KRAFTMAILER light?
Identical design, different paper. The light version saves weight and therefore postage for lighter goods.

Kraft paper with verified origin
The bag body consists of over 95% kraftliner: virgin fibre with up to 30% recycled fibres, FSC®-certified. The adhesive strips account for less than 3% and can be left on when disposing of the bag. KRAFTMAILER mailing bags are highly recyclable and belong in the waste paper bin.

Frequently asked questions
Why internal gussets instead of a block bottom?
A block bottom is folded in multiple layers and is significantly thicker than the rest of the bag. In a stack, the bottoms lie on top of one another, causing the bags to catch when removed and jam during transport. The internal side and bottom gusset of the KRAFTMAILER lies flat and only opens when filled.
Do I need to register with LUCID if I use KRAFTMAILER?
For unprinted KRAFTMAILER mailing bags that you buy from us and use unchanged as shipping packaging, no. We make the bags available in Germany for the first time and are therefore considered the manufacturer under packaging law. We are registered with LUCID, report the quantities and pay the system participation fees.
What is the difference between KM and KML?
The design is the same. KM has 135 g/m² and is the robust choice for books, cosmetics and sharper-edged goods. KML has 110 g/m², is lighter and saves postage on textiles and lightweight items.
What does FSC® C130790 mean?
This is our own FSC® licence code. It is printed on the bag and proves that the fibres come from FSC®-certified sources. You can check the code in the public FSC database.
How are the bags disposed of?
Via waste paper, i.e. the paper bin. The adhesive strips make up less than 3% and do not need to be removed.
Can I get KRAFTMAILER with my logo?
Yes, starting from just 100 pieces and in about 7 days. With your logo, you become the producer and manufacturer of these bags within the meaning of the PPWR; registration and system participation will then be your responsibility. We would be happy to advise you on this. Make an enquiry
Can I send food in KRAFTMAILER?
No, KRAFTMAILER mailing bags are not intended for direct contact with food. We have dedicated packaging with a declaration of conformity for food products.
