Why mono-film?

Recyclable according to the manufacturer: "Made for Recycling", 18 out of 20 points (matt version with standard zipper).
PP mono-material – all film layers made of polypropylene; disposal via the Yellow Bag or Yellow Bin.

Technical characteristics & materials

Material: PP mono-film, metallised – exterior matt PP thermal laminate (approx. 25 µm), metallised PP (approx. 30 µm), interior CPP (approx. 70 µm).
Total thickness: approx. 125 µm.
Barrier properties: Protection against oxygen, moisture and light (oxygen permeability ≤ 20 cm³/(m²·24 h·bar), water vapour permeability ≤ 1 g/(m²·d)).
Food contact: suitable for direct food contact; odourless and tasteless.
Sealing: heat-sealable at 125 to 140 °C and reclosable via press-closure.
Sizes: 8 standard formats (see table); other formats on request.

What does Interzero's “Made for Recycling” mean?

“Made for Recycling” is a certificate awarded by Interzero that recognises packaging that is particularly easy to recycle. The recycling process is simplified through the use of suitable materials and an optimised design. Packaging bearing this seal makes an important contribution to reducing environmental impact.

Which bags are suitable for food?

Bags suitable for direct food contact have a declaration of food compliance, which is stated in the item description. An overview can be found on the page "Food packaging at a glance".

What does "50 µm" mean?

µm indicates the film thickness: 50 µm is 0.05 mm. The thicker the film, the sturdier the bag. As a general guide: 50 µm is the "quasi-standard" and well-suited for most applications.

Grip seal or slider: What is the difference?

Grip seal bags are closed by pressing the profile strip together. Slider bags are closed using a slider. Both can be repeatedly opened and closed.

Are there bags made from recycled material or bioplastics?

Yes, for example grip seal bags made from PCR recycled granulate and recycled LDPE film, as well as bags made from PLA or cellophane.
