Q: Which mailing bag is suitable for which application?

FOLIENMAILER® made from white, opaque coex film (mono-material LDPE) for textiles, catalogues and other impact-resistant goods, coloured FOLIENMAILER® available in nine colours. KRAFTMAILER® made from kraft paper (135 g/m², as light 110 g/m²) with side and bottom gussets for clothing, books and cosmetics. ECOMAILER® made from at least 80% post-consumer recycled material with the Blue Angel certification (DE-UZ 30a).

Q: Can the recipient use the bag for the return shipment?

KRAFTMAILER® and ECOMAILER® feature two adhesive strips: one for shipping, one for returns. The recipient can open the mailing bag without scissors using the tear strip or perforation. FOLIENMAILER® have a permanent adhesive strip.

Q: Are the mailing bags suitable for shipping with DHL?

FOLIENMAILER® comply with DHL requirements for automated processing (coefficient of friction according to DIN EN ISO 8295). ECOMAILER® also have a DHL-compliant coefficient of friction.

Q: Do I have to register the mailing bags with a dual system myself?

For FOLIENMAILER®, KRAFTMAILER® and ECOMAILER®, Nordwerk assumes system participation in Germany, and the costs are included in the price. For deliveries to other countries, local regulations apply. Find out more in our packaging law FAQ .

Q: From what quantity do you print mailing bags with my logo?

KRAFTMAILER® available from 100 pieces. ECOMAILER® with logo on request from around 10,000 pieces, depending on the format. For other mailing bags, we will provide the minimum order quantity and price with our quote.

Q: What sizes are available?

FOLIENMAILER® from 170 x 240 mm to 600 x 900 mm, KRAFTMAILER® from 200 x 300 mm to 450 x 550 mm, ECOMAILER® from 170 x 240 mm to 550 x 750 mm. The Bag Finder suggests the appropriate size per series based on your folded item.

Two high-tack self-adhesive strips – Sealed is sealed. Can only be opened by tearing – tampering becomes visible.
Tear perforation between the adhesive strips – Easy for the recipient to open without additional tools such as scissors or a knife.
Manufacturer-neutral material notice printed, with TRIMAN logo and recycling symbol for shipping to France and other countries.
DHL-compliant coefficient of friction in accordance with DIN EN ISO 8295 – Suitable for automated processing and high shipping volumes
Eco-friendly because it is made from recycled plastic: Blue Angel (DE-UZ 30a), at least 80% post-consumer recycled material. PE-LD mono-material, recyclable; for private recipients, disposal via the yellow recycling bag or bin.

Mailing bags with Blue Angel: eco-friendly made from recycled plastic

Certified with the Blue Angel

ECOMAILER® are made from at least 80% post-consumer recycled material (PCR) and bear the Blue Angel environmental label (DE-UZ 30a). The recycled polyethylene film is 60 µm thick and water-repellent. Thanks to the integrated double self-adhesive strip, they are suitable for both shipping and straightforward returns.

ECOMAILER® are recyclable (LD-PE mono-material) and bear the "Blue Angel" environmental label for products made from recycled plastics (DE-UZ 30a).

It is this simple: fill the mailing bag and seal it with the outer adhesive strip. The recipient does not need scissors to open it – simply tear it open along the perforation. If not kept, the bag serves directly as a returns bag: insert the item, seal it with the second adhesive strip and send it back.

The Blue Angel environmental label (DE-UZ 30a) confirms a post-consumer recycled content of at least 80%.
Returnable: Tear-open perforation and double adhesive strip. The same bag can be used for returns.
Made in Germany: Production and certification locally – short distances, controlled quality.
Recyclable: Mono-material LDPE, disposal via the yellow bag or yellow bin. No need to separate material components.
